Lake Michigan “Lodge” Receives 2020 Acanthus Award
February 01, 2021

A great construction partner appreciates the meaning behind every detail and executes with extraordinary coordination and craftsmanship. This level of attention earned “The Lodge”, a triumphant space that combines Classical and Vernacular design, an ICAA Chicago 2020 Acanthus Award.

The 650 sq. ft. oasis, built on a bluff facing Lake Michigan, is the winner in Residential Architecture Under 5,000 sq. ft. The recognition is a testament to the design brilliance of Northworks Architects and Bruce Fox Design and the technical acumen of Bulley & Andrews Residential + Restoration. Congratulations to the project team on this well-deserved accomplishment.

The Acanthus Awards recognize and promote excellence in classical and vernacular design within the Chicago-Midwest region, celebrating achievement in architecture, interior design, preservation & restoration, landscape design, the allied arts & craftsmanship, unbuilt work, and student work. These awards are open to all design professionals, students, and artisans anywhere in the world who are practicing within the boundaries of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art Chicago-Midwest Chapter (ICAA Chicago-Midwest).
